2000 yz 426 white carbon ,should it be ??

3 posts in this topic

just changed the oil in this four stroke monster.found metal crap in the filter area. can any one tell me if this is normal. bike runs good. also i noticed white carbon build up in exhaust chamber as well as the header pipe. the header gets red hot which from reading all the informitive forums appears to be normal. i just want to make sure this isn't a lean carb condition. thanks !!

Sounds like a normal 426 to me. The carbon at the exhaust tip might be more preferable at a light tan than white, but if it runs good, don't sweat it.
