yz426 5th gear prob maybe found

ok when i bought bike the 5th was gone when i got it felt like it was going into neutral every time it went into 5th. i split the case yesterday thinking some gears where shot all the gears looked good but i found the right shift fork looked like it got chewed could this have been my 5th gear prob

Replace the sliding gear that fork operated, and the gear it engaged against. The fork was bent by the gear forcing itself out of engagement against the fork, and if you don't replace them, they will do the same thing again. The lugs on the sides of the gears that lock them to each other are worn.
