those the crf150r have a powerband? My friends tell me it doesn`t because it`s a 4-stroke and the power is there all the time? if it has a power band how bad is it badder than the cr85?:smirk:

It all depends on the color. There is a sticker on top of the air box and it tells you how bad the powerband is.

Red: Bad

Blue bader

Pink: baddest

:ride: :ride: :)

No really does it have a powerband?

never ridden one, but it sure aint gonna be worst than a 85.

tyman all engines have a powerband,a better word would be power curve, the crf150 is a 4stroke so the power curve is wider than a 2 stroke, kindda hard to explain im sure someone on here can do a better job than me.but niether a 2stroke or a 4stroke have a part in the engine called a powerband.

k thank you I will just have to test drive on to see.

The crf150r power comes on strong instantly right off idle. So to answer your question, it's not nearly as badderest as the CR85

2-stroke have NARROW power curve usedly it hardhitting then drop at high rpm where a 4-stroke have WIDE power curve more smoother so a 4-stroke has a more manageable broader power band.

all engines have a powerband. a powerband is the speed of the engine when it makes 75% or more of its maximum power or torque. trust me i know we have went over this many times on here. the 150r would have a wide powerband so it will have power almost all the time. unlike two strokes you dont have to feather the clutch to keep the rpms up.
