Getting an 08 yz450 to turn better ?

MAYBE a custom swingarm and/or linkage.(probably).

not possible.

the rules state the swingarm must be stock.

and if i am not mistaken, the engine cases and frame must be as well.

ok, here is the rules for 2008:

1.8 Swingarm

a. Swingarm must be the same as an originally homologated model of the same manufacturer.

b. Strengthening gussets or tubes may be added, but none may be removed.

c. Chain guides may be removed or relocated.

and as you will find, same wording for the frame and cylinder.

In loam, sand, berms, or ruts it is fine. But faster riders will definitely notice a push (the front end "washing out") at turn in (fore, center, and aft of the dex) on flat or off camber corners. It is noticeable, and you have to compensate for it when you go into the corner.

Actually sweeping faster corners I can get the ass to drift great!!!!, Its the real sharp tight corners that I notice it wants to stand up in the center of the corner. Again its so minor now, its a matter of looking ahead in a corner will correct it.

Good find. Looks like according to 08 rules, it can still be a "custom" swingarm like I said.
