yz400f kickstand hardware

3 posts in this topic

I have a 1999 YZ400F with an aftermarket kickstand that was installed before I bought it. It is not a clamp-on, it is the type where you drill through the front side of the swingarm and insert threads of somekind for the bolts to thread in. The problem is that one of the threaded inserts rattled loose and fell into the swingarm or on the trail. I don't know what to use to replace it. Any info will be appreciated.

Most hardware stores that have a wide selection of hardware carry something called a "Riv-Nut" It's what was originally installed there
