axle backwards?

would it be bad to put the axle on my 01 yz426 in backwards? i want to mount the whip flag on the left so it doesnt hit my silencer

It will make the wheel slightly more difficult to install (only a little), but as long as you use the right block for the axle head side, it shouldn't make any difference.

You can avoid the whole thing with a fender mounted whip, though.

Do you have any links to places that sell fender mounts for whip flags?

I have been looking and have found nothing.

I found this by searching....HERE :banghead:

http://www.sandwizard.net/ (scroll down to sub frame and fender mounts)

There are others, one outfit called Flick that I know of.

There used to be a company called flickwhip (www.flickwhip.com) but I just check there website and it is no longer there.

I have the flickwhip on my YZ450F which is just like the one in grayracer's link above. I bought one and then I made a bunch more for friends and family.

I highly recommend getting a fender mounted flag mount. I have seen plenty of wheels chewing up the flag poles.
