Suspension settings

4 posts in this topic

Trying to get the 1998 WR 400 I just bought ready for racing. I am 6 ft and about 200lbs. Don't have a clue about suspension on off road bikes.

Can anyone tell me what setting front and rear would suit my size. I am using stock springs and if I can help it would like to stay with these to keep costs down for this season

Thanks folks

Andrew

You will have to change the rear spring for sure to get the correct static sag

and still have enough spring to get the sag needed to deal with MX tracks..

I think your going to be too soft in the rear and pre-load too much to get the

sag you want...(will be topped out sitting static) Call your local suspension

guys for the correct rate springs and valving.
