06 yz450f dripping oil from breather tube

dike was bought in oct of 06

rode once in oct,dec & april of 07

mostly in the desert

rode the bike today after warm up rode it down the road about 1 mile

shut bike off & have 4" dia. oil puddle after a few minutes just sitting there

did a search did not find anyting on this problem

is not leaking from galley plugs

Some oil is perfectly normal. When ridden hard, there will be more oil dripping than when putted. A 4" puddle seems like wuite a bit though. How hard did you run it?

You didn't search very well. This is a common question. Some oil dripping from the breather is normal. You may have simply overfilled your engine oil to get a drip that large.

'06 and later models are easier to over fill (they have less excess capacity) than earlier ones, and overfilling is one cause of excessive oil in the breather.
