Shock spring paint job

Guy was satisfied with my paint removal job, They dip it for rust removal, than some other solutions, no complications about spring movement, they crome them constantly, from big to small.

Expect it friday, forgot to take picture of stripped spring.

how it looked after cleanup

paint remover, roto brush and 1200 sand paper

And thats the cromed baby.

After my cleanup, its dipped into cleaning solution, than sth else, to remove the greasy leftovers. After that, a layer of nickel and than crome. Copper was left out, due to higher price tag not really needed for my finishing look.

Price 30$, painting would be much cheaper, but finish look also.

Thats flashy.....are you going to do the frame and swingarm also?

Frame and swing powdercoated black.

Also not good chrome on alu, but possible.

Shop had stripped crf frame. When picked spring, frame was done, 90$, supermoto use, nice looks, but too pimpy for trail.

I wonder what it does to the spring rate? My guess is it would make it a little higher.

So if you were going to paint it, would it be best to powdercoat it black? I was thinking of matte black for my spring.
