Here are two pics of my yz before the after market adds, the moderator at ATM posted for me, check em out.

The stock exhaust is pretty good when jetted properly. In fact, aside from it being quiet, the bike was pretty fast, it just doesnt sound fast. My only complaint with after market exhaust is I cant get on the gas in corners like I could with the stock, my bike whips around now so I have had to learn some different throttle technique. But man I sure love it for that hit I crave!

thanks Racer808, i went into the yami dealership today and had a look at the blue 450F and talked with the owner of the shop for a bit. he will be getting the bike ready for us to pick up some time next week maybe  this weekend will be my last race on the ole 01 250F. i cant wait to get my new bike :D

I am not an expert, but I dont think running the bike on the dyno is a good way to seat the rings and do your break in. Do what I did, when I went to pick it up the guy told me they rode it around the lot to do some heat cycles, i said Hey now its used, take another 100 bucks off, and they did!!!!

hes doing some slow runs and heat cycles on the dyno... hes not going to flog it, he knows what hes doing cos he does it to alot of the bikes.

my name is KTM RULES cos back a few years ago when i joined i liked ktm, now yamahas are the best bike and if i could change my name i would.

I dont doubt he knows what he is doing, actually I do. the best way to seat rings is to put a load on the motor with low RPM's. Like climbing some small hills and not reving the hell out of it. You cant put a load on the motor on a dyno, you are just running it. But who knows bro, you hear all sorts of people saying to ride it like you stole it, or take it easy during break in. The logic behind a load on the engine with low RPM's makes the most sense to me to get your rings seated properly.

Depends on wht you mean by "low". Low rpm loading should be avoided during break in because it's stressful for crank bearings etc. Steady loads are not as useful in seating rings as running up and down the rev range under 70-80% loads, or just being ridden in a near normal manner between 4-9K for the first 1-1.5 hours. The truth is that the rings on most modern engines will seat completely in the first 15 minutes of such treatment, anyway.
