Ohmin the stator wires before rewrap

1 post in this topic

In testing the stator exciter coil, tested the resistance across the two wires and the resistance was within range, 235. Checked continuity from each wire to the frame and 1 wire showed continuity to ground, and the other one didnt, is this normal. Or should both be isolated??? The coil is replaced so its not that, everything else ohmed out correctly and the manuel says replace the cdi, but if the stator's two wires are both sopposed to show continuity, that would throw things off. Your thoughts.........
