Rekluse on an XR650L?

Anyone installed the Rekluse Auto-clutch on their L? I'm curious about its' effectiveness and durability.

Thanks!

Paul

I don't think Rekluse makes one for the XRL.

They do.

At least that's what they told me when I called them yesterday.

I ran one for about a year. When you are on it hard, and really trying to get somewhere, it works wonderfull. Going slow, and just poking around, not as good. I removed mine, and it is for sale.

sounds like a good deal for racing only.

I understand why it would work well in single-track, but what's the disadvantage when "poking around"?

Paul

for some reason, i could just see it trying to stall out and lugging alot even though it is not supposed too.

It functioned fine at crawling speeds, but you could not rev it up, and let the clutch out, like you would need to do for jumping a log, or climbing up on rocks. You only had the pull that the engine could give you, but not the burst that the flywheel could give you.

I get it. That makes a lot of sense.

Thanks!

Paul

the pro clutch has a manual override
