Dumb Question - XRR Swingarm Install

3 posts in this topic

OK... I have searched the service manual I have but I can't find a section that explains the torque settings for the swing arm pivot tensioner. Not the swing arm bolt but the threaded insert that snugs up against the swing arm and then gets locked in place. I am guessing you just snug it up, tighten the lock ring and then slide in the swing arm pivot bolt.

Can anyone confirm?

I don't have my book here but from memory it's like 8-10 ft lbs for the preload bolt and around 40 for the lock nut. Put the swingarm bolt in from the LH side first to get everything concentric, tighten preload bolt then lock nut, pull swingarm bolt and put in on the RH side.
