XR400R oil cooler on a XR650L

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I've been reading old (searched) posts about puting an XR400R oil cooler on a XR650, but everything I've read talks about finding a oil cooler and then buying new fittings and piping.

Question:

Can the XR400R fittings and piping work on the XR650L?

The oil cooler I just picked up came with all the OEM stuff for it.

Hmm.

Thanks!

Ya, those posts are what got me interested. I was just wondering if the reason they used aftermarket piping, and not the XR400R's OEM piping; was because they didn't happen to have it? Basicly, wondering if the OEM stuff can/will work; or if I'll need to get aftermarket piping too. (The one I picked-up is coming w/ the OEM piping).

?
