1995 XR600 Need jetting recommendation

6 posts in this topic

A friend of mine has installed an 11:1 high compression piston, stage I cam, and FMF Q slip-on on his 1995 XR600R with a baja kit.

He is running stock jetting. The bike runs like crap...misfire, bogging, won't run clean or rev out.

Does anyone have any suggestions for jetting?

Thanks,

ledrain

It is lean with the stock jetting.

I think that I have a 68S pilot, a 158 main, and the needle in the 3rd position. However, my bike is more or less stock. I would start there, or even start with a 160 main. See how it works and go from there.

Anyone else have a suggestion? Anyone else running a setup like this?

Stock jetting is waaaaay to lean for anything but a bone stock 600. With that set up, i would go with the 68 pilot as Cleonard recommends with at least a 160 to 165 main.

Look at my signature.. I have a very similar set up. I am running a 68S, and just switched to a 160 main.. Yes, I know I need to update my signature. This bike is a screamer with this jetting!
