'94 XR6 >>> SM...axle sliders question

I'm converting the XR6 to be a supermoto. Things are going along pretty well, but to play at the local track, I have to have sliders all 'round. No problem, except for the rear axle - it's hollow, but the right side is closed up with some sort of weld.

Did someone blob on some weld, or is this stock?

If it's stock, any ideas about how to fix rearward sliders to pass tech?

(I have pics, but it seems that I'm not allowed to post them...)

The axle you have is stock with a little arm that tucks under the swingarm? If so it is stock. I don't believe there is a replacement other than stock available. You should be able to post pics. I see them all over the TT site.

Yep, that's the one.

I'm hoping that there is another axle that has the same dimensions without the little torsion bar welded on. Maybe one from another year/model of XR that is just a straight, hollow axle...
