Rear shock

1 post in this topic

I searched but could not come up with an answer. I wan't to raise my susp back to stock but don't have the cash and want to do it myself anyway. I know the spring is stock and the lower shock mount seems to be stock. It doesn't just sit lower in the stroke, the stroke is less than my buddies 02. How much of a difference in susp travel is there between a 01 and 02 WR?

My questions are;

How is the shock shortened to lower a susp by 2 inches? Is there a different clip position on the shaft or are shorter shafts used?

Is it easy to fix and do I need to release the pressure to do it?

I really don't want to have to send it in to a tuner. Not yet anyway. :)
