Question on changing my clutch

2 posts in this topic

I need a new clutch on my 05 wr450. I can feel it slipping at times. Besides, I've been riding/racing on the same clutch for 2 1/2 years.

i got new plates and springs.

Is there anything special that I need to be aware of. My plan is to read the service manual and follow the instructions.

Do I need a special tool to do this? thanks for the info (yes, I did do a search)

Soak the new clutch plates in oil before installing them. I use a glad ziplok freezer bag. Soak overnight if possible.
