xrr: Clank from front end on sharp hits.

4 posts in this topic

Greets! My motard'ed XRR will sometimes emit a clank! sound from the front end if I hit a sharp bump at speed. Could this be the springs in the tubes or my semi-floating EBC front disc?

I'm reluctant to increase the compression at all; it's pretty stiff already.

TIA,

Robert

i have the same problem. I think it is the springs moving around when the shocks uncompress. I chalked it up to the lack of preload on the springs....

I have it on my "L" and I've also come to the conclusion that it's the springs in the forks clanking.
