crf150r faster than the 85s?

whats you're opinion? my dad wil not get me a 85 because the neighbores clearly explained they dont like the noise of the "hight piched shit" thats what they said lol. so i am to big for the 65s and a little small for the 150r. and what do you think the yz150f will be llike???? thanks! need answers fast.

Why do your neighbors have any say in what bike you get? Are you riding next door to them? Would they rather have a mini harley instead?

A cr85 stock makes about a horsepower more than a stock 150. The 150 will be easier to ride though.

I am not so sure a CRF150R is going to be that much quieter than a CR85. Not enough to make a difference.

Your going to have to wait until 2009 for a YZ150F model (YZ is Yamaha:lame: :p ... I think you mean CRF:thumbsup: ):ride:

As far as the neighbours .... unless your riding on their property, tell 'em to go #$%^ themselves

I hate the sound of a buzzing 85, but I think the 150R is even louder. The 85 does have a higher pitch, but it is a lower dB overall.

It sounds to me that your neighbors are going to complain no matter what. If you fit on a normal 85, then a small wheel 150R is no different. If you can even remotely touch the ground, get the big-wheel 150R, OR a KX 100. The bigwheel bike will last you longer as you will have a little more time before you outgrow it.

How does that work? You are too big for a 150 yet just right for an 85, is it just me or does this not make sense? A CR85 is the same size as the CRF150R, big or small wheel. The 150R weighs more but its the same bike. Except for the whole engine thing.

Is this your first bike?

I agree tell you nieghbors to go fly a kite.

well we take a short cut throught therelawn to get to a gaspipline in the makind so we can ride one it and follow it. and no i have been riding since i was 3

what about the rider friendlyness of the 150? i mostly mx and trail ride somtimes to so if anyone has eva riddin a cr85r letme know about it

an 85 is a pure racebike, fast and unforgiving, can sometimes throw you off. Lil bro had a cr80 with the 85 kit and that thing was a rocket.

A 150 will be smooother and maybe a better trail bike/mx bike. Its all about what you like. If you have been riding honda 4strks the whole time maybe you will be better off on a 150.

I own a CR85R, check out my garage :bonk: . Its a really nice bike, it does really good on trails if you are in the power ban, i cant say anything bad about this bike, its awesome. I ride mostly Mx but i go trail riding with my family. It does awesome in the dunes too. Anything else you want to know?

well. found the ktm 85sx and its much lighter. i need a light bike speaking i am 70 lbs and am not as big as some people.

70 pounds!? How tall are you?

i am 4ft 8in

get a kx 100, a lil bigger but pretty quiet, about as loud as a yamaha blaster but pretty fast still

What is ur current bike?

get a kx 100, a lil bigger but pretty quiet, about as loud as a yamaha blaster but pretty fast still

um yes i have a kx100 and its quiter but relly big for u compared to 85s and the 150s and the power it has is crazy to :worthy: :worthy: but if u fall over thoe it might be hard for u to start up or throw your leg over wich that might be a problem on trail:excuseme: great bike but pretty big. kx85s are nice to and are quiet..er and alittle smaller wich would fit u better than the 100 and yes both the kx85/100 are bigger than both the crf150r/L

thinkin . . . . . . is a 65 really too small?

yeah it is. and in 3 months it will b like riding a 50

what is your current bike?

crf80f by honda
