air puffing out of vent line

2 posts in this topic

I noticed my new WR puffs quite a bit of air out of the large vent line near the shifter pedal. A drop or two of oil is always present too. Is this normal or something I should be worried about? Where is this air coming from?

This is the crancase breaker.

Everytime the piston comes it will try to displace 400cc of fumes/vapour etc from inside the crankcase.

There will also be some blowby that ends up in the crankcase..

Its completly normal!

You'll also only lose 1-2 drops of oil..
