indeed! HI

um as for the plate- the bike was plated out of utah, went to change title...they gave me a plate. its titled as "cycle"

Ok that makes sense. I'm just hoping the legislation going through in Olympia now will allow me to do the same with mine.

well i brought the 99 home to evalutate what it needs and wether or not i want to give the guy his $500 back or take the $300 he owes me and dump it on him... it fired first kick still but wouldn't stay running, the throttle tube is about to break along with the clutch cable, needs new levers on each side, fork seals and just cosmetic after that.

The guy got it running using lawn mower parts cause theres a part on the carb that i couldn't get by itself so it's a little tweekerized... Need to sell my 07 and i think i could get the 99 mint again for under $500. So many decisions!

Heard "clink, clank, clink" rear wheel locked up and kick start wouldn't budge. Can't wait to see what is inside........ or isn't.

Friday 70 degrees and sunny, yesterday 74 and partly cloudy. Fixed my flat tire to go for a quick ride on Sunday. Woke up to snow. Come on all ready. I want to ride. I haven't ridden since I crashed in November and torn my MCL.

Removed the forks and shock so as I could take them out to get redone this week. Taking them to PRO MOTION in Vancouver Washington (nearby Portland Oregon). Not the greatest of prices at $650, but completely rebuilt, resprung, revalved and serviced, without the hassle of shipping... That's worth it to me!

redswr, If you've got to sell your '07, I say go for it and rebuild that '99. I know I'm always happier with a bike in my possesion! Your results may vary!! Maniac

there's a lot to be said about being able to look the person in the face and hand them the parts.

I cleaned my air filter, I did not oil it because PJ1 can says it needs to be +70 degrees and its not even close. I removed my Devol skid plate. It was rattling and I found that two of the rubber/plastic spacers wear gone, I used 5/16" fuel line as my new spacers. Bad idea??

But more importantly i need to thank ThumperTalk and all of its awesome members. My 2005 WR450F is new to me, I got it a couple months ago and every time I googled a question ThumperTalk had the answer time after time. I have done all the free mods(and not so free) that weren't done already air box, o-ring mod, T-handle air/fuel screw, AIS removal, GYT baffle/insert and jetted it for Colorado Springs. Grey wire was cut, baffle removed and throttle stop was ground down by PO.

I have been lurking for months, joined about a week ago and now popped my ThumperTalk cherry with my first post. I have been romanced enough

Nice used vintage Don Vesco desert fuel tank for the Yamaha TT/XT500's. Removed from a '79 so may not fit the earlier models. In great shape, not sun-baked, Vesco petcock, Preston Petty cap and all mounting hardware included. Price is OBO plus shipping.

Selling my immaculate 2016.5 KTM 250SXF Factory Edition with only 9.6hrs on it since new. Has been vet ridden and cared for. I have a clean title in hand for the bike. Bike has the following...
-SMPro Platinum wheelset and new Dunlop MS3 tires with only a few rides on them ($1000 wheelset)
       -D.I.D ERT2 chain only a few rides
-Orange Renthal sprocket, and 13T countershaft sprocket only a few rides
-Mapped by Tokyo Mods for U4.4 (still have standard map also for pump gas)
       -WP AER 48mm air forks
       - FMF 4.1 titanium slip on muffler
Bike will come with stock header pipe but still have the FMF factory Titanium slip on. Will also take off the titanium bolts and Renthal bars and put back on the stock ones. Will aslo come with triangle stand, manual, clean title, extra twin air filter, 14T countershaft sprocket, WP air pump for the forks, half a can of U4.4 fuel, and KTM tool kit. NO TRADES. NO FINANCING. NO LOWBALLERS. Bike is in showroom condition and the Factory Editions are very hard to find used in this kind of shape or new. $6800 price is FIRM.

I added skateboard grip tape to the frame by my pegs and on the subframe for extra grip.

I just ordered a piston kit for my 1998 yz80, and it does not fit into my cylinder. I can't really remember if its a 47.5 mm or 47, i'm pretty sure it's a 47.5 but it just does not fit into my cylinder. My cylinder does have a big groove in it, so do I need a new cylinder for it to fit, or a new piston? Please respond ASAP!

Hopefully I will not have to make any more posts after this but I have questions about the 04 wr snorkel. Before it's suggested yes I did read the free mod guide on super Moto junkie and he shows the snorkel being removed but does not explain or show how. I tried removing the two bolts on top and the battery but it still doesn't even budge after that, is it molded in place? Also what is deemed as a clean or dirty air filter? I don't know what is supposed to be normal, upon looking at mine there was a good amount of thick black grease that I wiped out so I have no idea how long this one has been used or last cleaned. I bought a no toil filter to replace the current one since I just did a rebuild and why not have a clean one in there. But if someone can enlighten me on details it would be much appreciated.
