What did you do to your WR today?

Recommended Posts

A couple of days ago I added my GYTR Hand guards, radiator guards, GYTR FMF Silencer and Obie link guard.  My GYTR Tuner and ECU will be in today.  The IMS tank will go on later as I don't need it right now.  I look forward to the next ride and seeing how the upgrades feel on the bike.  In addition, it will be my first time messing around with the ECU and tuner.  I have collected a few maps off of TT so we will see how it goes....:-)

Did the "Swiss cheese" clutch hub mod this morning. I had no issues starting in gear and had already done the washers mod, but this makes the clutch feel a bit smoother and more connected with the engine. Just did a quick test earlier, and the difference is definitely noticeable. Going for a ride now.

Nothing today.  I'm picking up a plated 2003 WR450 tomorrow after work.

I've been looking at bikes for 2-3 months, and prices are all over the map, but lately bikes seem to be selling within a week of being posted.

So hopefully this one will be there long enough for me to scoop it up tomorrow evening.

Swiss cheese mod, huh?  I never heard that one before...

+1. Googled it and found very little info and only like 2 threads related pop up that are from TT and it was just people asking what it was.

Anyways. I installed a Racetech rear spring today to match my weight, set the sag. Installed a core stainless front brake line. Brake line is nice quality, but I ordered it stock length and it's supposed to be exactly like OEM fitment, ended up being pretty short so it sits really low on top of the stock speedo.

I'll ask him if a yellow WR will be available this spring...

After getting the bike at Christmas and having 18 inches of snow on the ground I've pretty much gone crazy and although it was not today the other day I did get to go out and ride with my son on his new bike. The gentleman that I had purchased the bike from had accomplished all of the ways and means that we read about on here to the bike and oh my goodness that thing runs hard it is a blast and I cannot wait for warmer weather

I got In great ride this weekend with some good friends . Rode is some not so bad mud leading up to

some wet heavy snow and then up to some fun to ride in snow  . Lots of log hoping and a little hand
sawing with some little fold out saws .

And now I am about to wash it so I can yank the clutch and find out why the Rekluse is starting to slip in 3rd and 4th gear .  Last few rides I could feel it slipping a bit in 4th so I re-adjusted it just before this ride and

3/4's of the way through the day I had to loosen the clutch cable again to keep it from slipping in 3rd .

Don't make fun , I love my rekluse and it loves me  .
