Once we got back on the road...another about 40km...we hit straight to Mersing...

Things were looking good...weather was perfect...all of us except joe have a dip in the sea...very cooling after all the stickyness we had...

By then its 7.20pm...its dark...i can't be taking out the carb oready...drag the bike out of the beach...when already on stable ground...toggle the bike to the main road and straight to Mersing town which is about 25km from the beach...hoping it is still open...

We reached the town at 8.30pm..everywhere is closed...thinking very hard for a solution..tried to revive the bike once again,but failed...still cant get access to the sparkplug well you know why...

so,the solution,to ride slowly toggling the bike...about 40km-50km/hr.

Richard did the towing from Mersing Up to the T junction that seperates Mersing,Kota Tinggi and Kluang...

Travelled for a total of 150km using toggle rope...took us 6hrs to reach home...:banghead:

looks like you guys were having some serious fun! theres nothing better than getting together with a bunch of doods and tearing it up! (not destroying sh*t mind you)....

That guy submarined his bike in salt water!?!?!?1 :D :D :busted: :busted: That sucks!

I submarined my klr650...couldn't pull the plug so it temporarily hydrolocked while i was kicking it over... luckily the the autodecomp took care of that :banghead: After cranking it for like 10 min it fired up....it was spitting H2O out of the exhaust for like 10min! everyone got a god chuckle. Drove it home about 15 miles and drained about 5 quarts of "oil" that looked like weak chocolate milk (that bike isnt suppose to have 5 quarts of "oil" in it!). The bike ran fine after that, at least I think it still does, some thief has it now....its his problem now :ride:

just a little update on my pig...

bike has just gone through some overhaul...milege is 76,000km.

The eating up of EO and noise even after the replacement of the chain tensioner got me worried..

i love the pig..so meaning...i am going all out to make it into a great riding machine once again.even though i have to starve myself...:ride:

Got the spareparts like piston,rings,headgasket,valve seals,timing chain and the whole lot of carburator seals.

Actually after close examine into the engine,the original piston and block walls is in good shape...only that really beaten up is the piston rings..the valves,cam,all great...except alot of carbon and thick ones has deposited and settle down at the valves and the head..

So since i've already bought the new piston,might as well get it fix.

Need to do some alteration though to the sideracks..need to narrowing the width...and will be fitting the rally fairings back.once this is done,last mods...the dual exhaust.then...the leisure riding will begin....?

I remember crossing the Strait of Singapore into Malaysia and catching a flight to Kota Bharu, driving around Kota Bharu with all these Mosques and then getting a boat out to some island which was beautiful. This was a few years ago now. All the while I was saying, 'damn, I need a dirt bike'!

Good to see you dudes out and about.

Thanks for the pics! I'm sure your pig will give you many miles...errr kilo's of perfect service!

I'd love to fly my L and myself there for some riding and checking the country out! looks awesome!?

how much the cost would be for you to ship or fly your Pig here?

anyways,singapore has very limited land for playground...but it would just be good enuff for a sunday morning blast and settle by early noon and have a good lunch with good soda...

if you really want to see great places and trails,Malaysia would be fun...but be sure to have a local guide...the jungles are thick and dense...not wise to venture of if you're not familiar...

Different grounds have different rules...?

Hi...its been awhile hibernating...

since the pig have been overhauled,i've not been doing any rides on it...it is still running in...

During one of the XR's meeting...a friend just bought the 650...and got another 650 to join the meeting..

So while i am doing the running-in,i spend some time fixing up the fairings once again after its been redone on the fibreglass work on some broken tabs...

The engine now pumps up almost like a brand new bike...but i am watching the speedo most of the time not to exceed its limit on the run-in.no more strange loud noises...i think the timing chain must have been the culprit..and when i am using it for a ride in town,i just put on a topbox..notice i have changed the rear tailight as well...slightly smaller.

The domi runs great.

replacing the clutch and brake levers of the domi to el-cheapo.

i am just putting this thread back on track.

now after 1yr of owning the pig...with 20,000km added to the milege...i am still never bored of the XRR...its my best ride ever...

and alot of PM on the fairings...its best that those who interested might want to scroll few pages back to see how i start it all...

at the mean time,enjoy some piccies...last weekend ride.

I just picked up the sahara tank and sdg tall seat, oh and the edlebrock which is awesome! God I love this bike ?

It's been a long while since this thread is moving...

a little update on my pig...fairings toast!!crashed head on collision with a tree during the orientation round of the enduro race which i had to give a missed after the crash.

and only able to participate in our little 2hr enduro race where the pig suffered both front and rear flats on lap 4 within about or less than 30mins...:bonk:
