Engine Ice users

I just started using Engine Ice last week and was wondering if anyone else had noticed any strange sounds coming from the radiators when using it. When I was at the track saturday and started the bike (it was warm), I thought I heard a gurgling like sound coming from the radiator. At the time I wasn't sure if I actually heard it or if it was just a sound from something else in the distance. But tonight I fired it up in the garage and I swear I heard it again..

Anyone else had this experience??

You might wont to check your coolant level!.........and make sure the coolant comes up to atleast the neck of the Rad.

coolant level is to the top of the rad...

I dont know other than its the overflow just sucking in air.I use the engine ice also and have since I bought my 06 new,and no problems from me

It's no biggie, just the overflow releasing a little pressure.

I use it and have never heard that before. I don't think it is because of the engine ice.

I'm kind of wondering if there could be air in the system?

oh you know what.. try pushing down on the GAS TANK with the engine cold.. see if it makes the same noise.

nope, no noise.. so where were you going with that?

i think where he is going with that..... my gas cap was going out and not venting correctly and when I would lean on the bars or tank, to rest after riding it a while, i would hear a gurgling noise that I thought was the radiators, but was actually the gas cap not venting properly. It was really wierd. lean on the bars or tank, it would gurgle, sit back up and it would quit. Has not done that since I changed gas caps. It would only do that after riding a little while as in not cold.

exactly, but mine did it all the time.

Mine does this all the time, maybe I should check it out. I never thought anything of it, I always assumed it was just extra pressure from the overflow vent.

problem fixed!

I took my cap off, took the 3 screws holding the vent mechanism on, off. Cleaned it out and blew in it. Put it back together, and no more noise.

I assume your meaning the Gas cap? Mine was puking fuel out of the vent hose and onto my front fender all the time...and I did the same as you just said you did. Hopefully it keeps gas off the fender!
