Presidential Canidate Bush comments

Recommended Posts

Does anyone think that Governor Bush's comments yesterday concerning the reporter will have any impact on the voting outcome? The last I heard Gore-Bush was in a dead heat. I sure hope his ill timed comments dont affect or sway voters. WE NEED BUSH!

Im not much to push politics, but Im starting to get scared that the swing is in Gore's favor. Please tell everone you know to vote for Bush in November!

There are lots of voters that think many reporters are aholes. I don't think it will cause Bush supporters to vote for Gore. If anything, he can spin it to show he's human like the rest of us. Knowbody wants some bigger than life president who can't identify with the rest of us. At some point, we all say something we shouldn't have. I'm with you however. I'm very, very scared what will happen to public land should Gore get elected.

We do need Bush to win, the comment of course is being played up by the media which I feel is extremely left and favoring Gore. This was an easy way to take a shot at the other camp. Like alot of other people on this site, I'm not a big fan of politics, but the venom and deception of spew that is comming out of Gores mouth with the extreme leftist media playing it up as gospel is absolutely sickening. I don't care what party affiliation you have(independent myself), please vote Bush, Cheney and forget the sideliners that have no chance. If you haven't voted in the past, it's time to register and do so.

TW and the rest of these guys are right. Simply put, we can't afford to be bashful about politics and voicing our opinions these days.

Please pull your heads out of your toolboxes long enough to go register to vote. Then vote! Tell you riding buds to do the same!

The automated voting network at www.avnetwork.net/index2.html is a good site to get registered to vote and gain some fundamental information on your state and federal govt.

If you have ANY doubt that Gore is a threat to the freedom loving OHV community, just look at what is going on in his home state!

I pulled the following from www.ama-cycle.org

Off-road riding banned in Tennessee forests

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Tennessee officials have banned the off-road use of motorized vehicles in all state forests under emergency rules announced July 20, the AMA reports.

Under the new rules, announced jointly by the state’s Agriculture Department, Department of Environment and Conservation, and Wildlife Resources Agency, all motorized vehicles are banned from state forests except on specified roads.

"Personal motorized vehicles may travel on paved roads where they’re licensed to do so and on all gravel roads maintained by (the Division of) Forestry," the announcement said. "They may also be used on certain dirt roads if designated by signs. They are not allowed off roads at any time."

Violators face fines of up to $2,500 and a year in jail.

State officials said a permanent rule-making process to control off-highway vehicles (OHVs) will follow, but provided no details.

Major riding areas affected by the ban include the Chickasaw State Forest, Natchez Trace State Forest, Prentice Cooper State Forest and the Cedars of Lebanon State Forest.

"This amounts to a statewide ban of off-highway motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles from nearly all public land," said Royce Wood, AMA legislative affairs specialist. "Off-highway enthusiasts must get involved now to ensure that these ‘emergency’ rules don’t become permanent."

Wood noted the Volunteer State Trailriders Association (VSTA) has been working with the state’s Division of Forestry to create a state program that would manage OHV recreation while protecting the environment. The AMA supports the VSTA efforts and urges motorcyclists and all-terrain vehicle users to log on to the group’s website at www.vstarider.com to learn how they can help.

Hope this sobers up some of you complacent non-voting dirt bike riders out there.

Happy (open) trails,

Scott

My main concern is that Gore is going to get the elderly vote. And everyone knows the elderly goes to the poles in droves!

Hes trying to push the HMO's out and thats going to get the blue hair votes.

Isnt the elderly like 60-70% of the voting population? I heard that somewhere once.

Wrong. I'm one of the blue hair crowd, (actually white hair), I still ride and I am voting for Bush. At least he calls them as he sees them.

I am very worried about Bush's ability to pull this off! For the sake of off-roading, I sure hope he can!

He has come off as arrogant rich boy, with that infamous smirk. Comments like the reporter deal can't do him any good.

He boasts about his preformance on education in Texas and then gets sited for being one of the worst states in education for the lower income kids.

Algore has been mentored by the worlds greatest salesman - Slick Willy. Bush is going to have to get his $#&* together if he is going to pull this off.

I'm with you. Has anyone ever read this reporter's work? There is no defense like the truth.
