WR forks valving

1 post in this topic

I'm looking to upgrade my 00 YZ426 fork, I want them to be more supple on ruts and rock. So before going to an gold valve swap, I was asking to myself "why don't you try to use WR valving in you YZ forks?" Everyone rave about how supple newer WR forks are.

Shims are available in every dimensions known to man and relatively cheap....

Is it possible?, are 00 YZ forks share the same internals as the 01 WR??

Someone know the valving stack used in 01WR fork base valve? (426 of course)

Will I have to change mid-valve valving stack too?

(if the answer is yes it could turn out as a complicated mess.

anyway, could be a cheap and fun mod, someone have idea or comments on this?
