As to the heating up, they will only heat up if you have the line routed too close to the head pipe or any other heat source. They will recieve heat from the motor itself but there should be no cause for worry about fading due to heat like a brake. If you think this is happening you have some other problem such as a leak or air in the system.

Yeah, like I said, mine are bulletproof, here is how they are routed on my street supermoto's

You're obviously not riding tight technical but more open

Actually I do ride techical terrain quite often. Like I said before, my brother has one on his XC450 and don't think it is all that easier to operate than my stock wr450 clutch. It has somewhat easier pull, but not enough for me to go and buy one.
