Need to replace header gaskets when grinding the welds?

Or are the stock ones still good after taking the headers off and reinstalling?

i reused mine when i did that job and no leaks yet!

OK thanks. I didn't want to take things apart and then need to order gaskets to get back on the road.

PS Did you notice any difference by grinding the welds, ie is it worthwhile?

Grinding the welds?

We're talking about grinding some of the excess weld material inside the header pipes.

Thats what I thought. Does it actually make any difference?

I've heard reports both ways, so I'm not sure.

i think it is better, but not much if at all. it should be better cause it opened up those holes a little more.

Just ground mine this weekend. Didnt notice much of a difference like i thought I would. Already cammed/ jetted 165/58/supertrapp IDS2/ Daves mods/and de-snorked. So kinda wasted time I think.:)
