Should my bike be THIS LOUD!

I have no point of reference but my YZ450F seems BLOODY LOUD ?

Is this silencer stock or has it been modified to make it louder. If the latter has anyone got any suggestions on how to quieten it down without replacing the muffler?

Try repacking it. Use "Silent Sport" muffler packing. Made a huge difference on my WR (with a YZF pipe). Might also try a Pro Moto Billet end cap with a quiet insert. On my 426, the combination of silent sport packing and the PMB insert makes the exhaust quiet enough that I canhear the intake noise.

Did that on Sunday, but I don't think it has made a massive difference, it still THUMPS. I may have to look into the insert.
