How do you remove handlebar ends? (handguards)

How do I get bar ends off (for hand guards), 97XR600R. I have a 1 pc mirror mount that wont slip over the slightly larger end, even after prying bkt open. help?

Depends what kind of guards you have. Most likely it is a slip type nut that sits inside the handlebars and is loosened with an allen wrench. You loosen it enough that the guards become loose and then you can pull them out. If they have been in there awhile the can be pretty tough to get out but just keep wiggling them and they should eventually loosen up.
