'04 with harsh fork action

3 posts in this topic

What is the best way to smooth out the fork action on my '04 450F? At this point I have adjusted and re-adjusted, add and subtracted oil... Short of having it revalved is there anything else I can try?

I put sub tanks on my '03 and the forks are better. Actually I'm using the TGT suspension handle bars, (the handle bars are used instead of adding sub-tanks).

My 04 has a sticky spot for initial plushness. It is almost immediatley in the stroke but other than that i'm big enough where if it is harsh I don't notice it enough to let it bother me. As far as fixing it your guess is as good as mine I say revalve should be seriously looked at or get different rate springs but I'm not sure if the springs would help at all.
