An 18mm deep socket will work. As you know access is somewhat limited. After breaking it loose one easy way to unscrew it is to push some tubing over the end of the plug. Works for getting it back in too. The best tool is the Honda one that came with the bike.

Yep..what Cleonard said. If not motionpro makes one for your bike..fairly cheap but certainly worth it to get that plug in and out. The right tool makes all the difference!
