Need some help Boy's

I have a 99 YZ400. Bike was running pretty bad the other day so I tore the carb down, and found I had a cracked throttle valve plate, and the gasket was in pieces. Got the new parts in got it back together, now it will not start. It will fire put will not start. I can only think maybe I put the gasket on the valve plate on wrong. Not 100% sure where it goes or what direction it faces. Any hlep would be great. Right now I have it on the back side of the round flange, that sits in the cart. It seemed like the most likely spot.

The plate goes in on the engine side of the slide, and with the square side down, which is where most people get crossed up. It looks as if ti should go the other way, but it doesn't.

I have the big book, and have done it before. It was the gasket that I was wondering about. Got it running. It was the TPS censor. I must have moved it or something. Got it reset, and it's running like a top.
