xr600r sagging in rear

4 posts in this topic

I have two xr600r bikes. A 1997 and a 2000. The '97 stands 1/2 inch lower in the rear. I would like it higher. Is the ride height adjustable or is this a case of the spring sagging?

Yes, just turn the spanner nuts on the top of the shock spring clockwise to raise the rear. 4strokes.com has a good how-to on setting sag. I beileve you want 3-4" between unloaded and loaded, but don't quote me on that.

The owner's manual says what to set it at. If you don't have it, let me know and I'll dig mine out.

Would love to hear what the Owner's man says. I have the service book in 3 languages, but no owner's man. What is recommended rear shock pressure? 213psi?
