Heat generation and temp

2 posts in this topic

Do 650R's tend to heat up faster when idling or crawling through technical trails due to the size and compression? Seems these bikes are designed for full out speed not technical stuff.

I notice mine gets hot very quickly (uncorked). Riding budies with 450s don't seem to get hot that quick.

Most any water cooled bike will over heat when idling. No air through the radiators equals a boil over. If it is a problem think about getting a radiator fan to help cool the bike in these kind of conditions. Do some searches.
