Not sure about 2001, but my stock 1999 400F top speed (from Dirt Bike mag info I believe) does 78 mph. The 426 should be in that ballpark.

I saw 76 mph on my GPS while going across a field. It was a quick look because I was way out of control....LOL.

02 YZ426 with stock gearing.

my 01 426 will pass my 04250f like its standing still and the 04 tops out at 72

according to my frinds gps we hit about 85 on the revlimiter. to fast for me

My riding buddy has a 01 YZ426F with stock gearing. His TrailTech computer indicates he tops out at around 80 mph.

It all depends on gearing. With my 14/48 gearing my 426 will do about 82mph. With my Baja gearing, 15/58, it will do about 90mph. It all depends on the gearing.

I know mine will go faster than I need it to. :bonk:

Like above:prof:

all i know is that mine is faster then my friends stock yz 450f and my other friends stock crf 450 and mine has a 51 tooth rear, not sure on front. i think 13-14

Fast enough I know that much. Mine is geared down but stock I believe is upwards around 80+

If you enjoy canyon jumping ...terminal velocity is around 120 mph. The quick stop at the bottom is a real drag I hear.

thats a preaty good one

last year on fire road pinned 78mph according to gps

87 mph according to a friends S10 pickup... im geared up a tooth from stock.

How long did it take the S-10 to get up to that speed?

You need to take a ride on my Gixxer 1000; the '03 stock-geared model (6-speed tranny) touches 100 mph (according to magazine tests using radar gun) in 1st gear!!!!!

Now that's getting a bit out of hand.

im familiar with the street bike word i rode my freinds r1 hit 90 in first. keep going and decided to let off about 180. i didnt wana die if i hit a pot hole

Notice how narrow the road looks at 180?

I haven't actually clocked my YZ426, but I am guessing around 70-75 with 14/50 gearing... now my WR would push 100+ easily with stock gearing.
