Quiet Exhaust

Besides the stock exhaust, what is the most quiet exhaust available? Yoshimura? Jardine? I have a big gun exhaust on my bike (2004 XR650L) and it is just too loud!

I'm not 100% sure,but I would have to think super trapp type disc system.

Hey all, I am a new owner of a 92 xr600r. Can this supertrapp exhaust be adjusted to be quieter? Not trying to hijack thread...

If you can remove discs then you can make it quieter.

What model supertrapp do you have? The only one I could find in the thumpertalk store is the racing series which I had on my DR350ES, and wasn't very quiet at all.

i have a White Bros E-series that has 12 discs right now its not to bad, i took the end disc off to make it open WOW way too loud The WB is nice too.

Im running an FMF Q2 on my 650L and its pretty quiet, not stock exhaust quiet but definately ALOT quieter than a race type exhaust.

I've got the IDS2 and it purrs with 4 discs in it and screams with the 19 I'm running now. I like the noise on the street and the purr for the woods.

TODD can you tell a big difference from the 4 to 19 disc in power is it just a little or a ton different?

A good question about the disc. I have a XR's Only competition stainless exhaust with the disc system on it. what changes are there between adding or subtracting disc? does it get louder with less disc or quieter? Do you gain or lose power with less disc or more power with more disc?

Denn10, I can totally tell the difference between 4 and 19, At 4 the wheelies are harder, But with 19 she breathes way better and the pwr diff is definately noticeable.

Quieter with less discs and less pwr, Louder with more dics and more power if you have it jetted correctly, Dont go throwing discs in it with stock jetting, will cause a little bit of a lean run.I,m jetted 58/165 with 19 at 300ft above sea-level.

I have the bike 650r uncorked with the 175 and 68s jet set. I just wanted to quiet it down for my local woods ride and open it up whena t the sand farm and if removing or adding disc is that simple then just got happier. do you lose much power when removing disc? and how much quieter is it?

You just have to go little by little to you get it where you want.

where did you get the discs and the end cap for it mines just straight open and im getting harrassed by the cops for it
