pilot Jet change on 07. No shock removal

3 posts in this topic

Just changed my pilot jet and main without removing the shock and stuff.

Tank and seat off

Remove hot start from carb

Loosen carb and rotate

Take of the drain screw/bolt

Remove sprocket cover

With the sprocket cover off you can get a screw driver up there no worries

There is a couple of hoses to push out the way and in ya go!!!!

I didn't try but recon I could get the bowel of and on if I had to as well

Be a 20min or so job now I know how to do it.

Beats the crap outa swinging up the subframe and removing the shock.

Hardest part is reinstalling the hot start:thumbsup:

Good info - thanks. Re-installing the hot start is made easier by removing the upper engine brackets - a little more work but still easier than removing the shock.
