yz426 rad cap

2 posts in this topic

So I have been having an ever so small amount of coolant leak while riding.

I decided to put a Kawasaki 1.8 (vs 1.1) psi cap on to try to prevent boilover.

However, I found the root cause to be the o-ring on the tube that goes into the water pump was worn. When I put on the higher cap, the coolant came right out. So now I know where I have been losing coolant.

My question is this, will it hurt the bike to still use the 1.8 cap instead of using the stock 1.1?:bonk::naughty:

BTW- I already have new o-rings for both metal pipes and ordered a new tube since mine had quite a bit of buildup on the inside.
