Does this grey wire trick apply to my 98 wr400?

hey, thanks for the info. I just found TT and

it's awesome. Thanks to all who make it go.

yes.. i did it ot my 98, and i think it made a difference.... more oomph to it now i think... just disconnect it where it plugs in with the kill switch wire, plug it up with some silicon, and insulate it.... instant power....
