so the new one feels completly different than the old one right? my buddys say i should get the 250 but it really isn't any shorter or lighter. i'm only 5'6" so all bikes are to tall for me.

You could always get one of those lowering links. I love being tall...the 250's feel heavier becuz the center of gravity is higher because the motor on the 450's makes the weight down lower.

I'm 5'6 140 with a wr450, lower your sag , keep it in second gear, and tractor up all you want, then beat your buddies on when you twist it!!!!!!!

How anyone can say the 250 feels heavier than the 450 is beyond me.

You have never riden a 250, right?

The 250F is ~14LBS lighter than the 450F....but has much less power.

Go for the 450F!

I owned one for a year i was just talking about going from my 01 wr250f to my 01 wr426 when you are riding the 426 feels lighter but picking it up is another story sorry for not making that clear.
