Needs a new chain

Needs to be rejetted, as you already know

you might want to put some windham bend bars on there

some radiator cages

nothing else is needed, evything else is a want from here on out.

This bike has no other needs, it's only down fall is that it could use a little more low end power, for that you could regear, get a full system exahust, and or send your carb to zipty, or do the AP mod.

Thanks for the info,I already changed main jet to a 168,and pilot to a 45,2 1/8 on fuel screw, was considering an exhaust, but when I checked out stock

muffler,it seemed to be the same as aftermarket slip on(2" straight through)

no baffle,no spark arrestor,I guess any improvement in Torque/HP must be

in a different size/or length of headpipe? Thx Ranger,Grayracer ED

when worn,so as not to cause swingarm damage?..also it seems that a weak

link on this bike is the chain(DID 520D)..what is the most popular aftermarket

chain for this bike?,also the stock chain has no o-ring's (to keep price down?)

The chain you choose all depends on your budget, alot of people run the regina or renthal o or x ring chains. The sprocket sizes you listed are not stock; I think its a 14/49 or 13/49. The chain slider is a wear item, so you can wait to have a problem or fix it right away with either of BVB or grays suggestions.

If you're on a budget, you may also want to keep in mind that a Renthal R1 is actually a Regina ORN-6, but the Regina is about $15-20 less expensive with the OEM logo on it instead of Rethal's.

The chain slider wears the swing arm by trapping sand under it and grinding a divot in the top of the swing arm, whether the slider itself is worn or not. This is true of all YZ/YZF models back to at least 1998. Visit the link I posted, You'll see what I mean.

Stock gearing is 13/49.

Make sure you tighten the sprocket bolts. My hub exploded at the track last Saturday. grrrrrrr !! Luckily, I didn't crash and hurt myself.

So I bought a new wheel set up, which made my wife really happy because because my Dr. D exhaust was already on the way when this happened.

Other than that, this is my favorite bike, ever!!
