Checking the sag

Recommended Posts

I want to set my sag right, but when should I take the measurment: before or after riding with me bike? Because it has been sitting in a garage for month now and snow is still melting around here. Should I wait until I can have ride with it or could I just do it right now?

Even though the one of the main reasons for using nitrogen in a shock is because it expands very little when heated, it can still affect the sag. But not a huge amount, so you can set the sage to a slightly lower level than you really want, and re-check it after you ride for a while. Set the sag lower than your desired setting by about 3-4mm if it's very cold.
