Got my carb back from ZIP TY

Hey guys,

Got my carb back from zip ty and after got the bike back together 06 450 , started right up and it felt great. Almost instant reponse off the bottom. COmplements the DR D system nicely. It was too late to ride it, but I'll report back when I do.

Also got my suspension back from MKS(Mickey Kessler) yesterday. He is the man. If you need suspension work he is great. One man shop, he's the only guy to touch your susp, so its quality work and very reasonable, $260 for revalve and seals, more if you need other stuff, but if you know him, he is top notch.

Well I had a chance to ride the bike after the zip ty mod and it is real nice. It hits so hard, but it has nearly eliminated the bog down low. With the DRD exhaust its a great combo. Scary fast, I recommend the mod highly. THey even threw in suggested jetting and fuel to run, real quality guys and fast turnaround.

Thanks ZIP TY

Eric

Thanks for the update. Question however. What's this issue with the TPS connection? Some have suggested not to remove it, but I'm left a little confused as if you don't remove it, you can't take the carb off, correct?

No, you leave it on the carb and disconnect it from the harness at the connector.

Yeah, I just released it at the harness clip that is right about under the filler cap and sent it along, still connected to the carb.

Hey, I took the opportunity to really lube up all the throttle cables and fine tune the free play and such. When I bought the bike it was a one yr old 450 and the throttle was crap, now it slides and returns like the day it was brought home.

This thing really rips.

Thanks~!:censored:
