Gap between speed sensor and fork on '06 WR450

1 post in this topic

I just put new tires on my bike for the first time. I've never had a speed sensor to deal with. I think I got it on correctly (lined up the 2 grooves on the sensor with the corresponding parts on the rim). I noticed that there's a few millimeters between the black sensor and the right fork. Is this normal? Judging by the grease that was on both the fork and the sensor when I took the wheel off, it appeared that they actually touched each other when they were originally installed. If anyone has pics of their front wheel installed (a straight-on, front view), that would also be appreciated.

Thanks!
