I just got back from a 2 day trip to ocotillo wells. I have been out three times on the new bike and have put 321miles on it. Heres my problem. The Estart sticks and the kicker won't go down if I put pressure on the kicker for a few seconds then the E-start wiil kick in  . WHY does it do this?

I'm having the same problem, I was told it's normal. I'm not buying it, I wonder if the "auto" decompression is hanging up?

How could it be normal click click click not since I have been riding. but push buttons are new to me. second one I have had. I have an 06 wr 250 that my wife rides now and have never had this problem. It may be decompression because if I hold the kicker with pressure down I can the use E start:banghead:

Actually it is somewhat normal. It occurs when the motor happens to stop on the compression stroke which keeps the decomp pin from extending. I have two 450's and it happens on both about once every 20 or 30 starts. Just put the bike in gear and rock it a little to get the motor to move past the compression stroke. Doesn't take much and it will start right up.

Mine did it too.. ya got high compression this will happen.. Adjust the valves a little looser and this will help... just about 2 thousands of an inch
