Later model "L" owners

I'm thinking about ordering an MSR pro raptor clutch perch/lever to replace the oem, but my 650L has the perch mounted choke lever. Can I use the hot start-decompression lever on an aftermarket perch to operate the choke? Is anyone doing this on their bike???

I have the MSR clutch pearch on my 01 XR650L Motard.

I use an edelbrock pumper and don't need the choke cable.?

I'm shooting from the hip on this one... I would think if you put hard rubber washer in the decomp lever pivot, then tighten the p*ss out of the pivot bolt. This will enable the "choke" lever to hold position when you need full choke. Not sure how long that would last?

The MSR pro perch has the decomp lever on the rider side of the bar. I've never seen the lever/perch in person so i'm not sure but this may present a problem.

Another alternative is to adapt the existing choke lever off th XRL to that perch. I think the OEM lever has a detent setup at the lever pivot. You may be able to rig something up for that?
