2001 426...wr or yz?

is there a way to tell the diffrence b/w a wr with the yz plastic and a yz? maybe with the vin or something?

The WR will have an odometer cable going to the front wheel, the actual odometer itself still mounted, it'll have an electric starter, a battery, it has wiring for the rear tail light and an 18 inch rear rim.

And a coolant catch bottle.

on first sight a WR sould have a coolant cach botle on the rear, a rear 18" rim, an electric regulator bolted to the frame in front of the tank on the left. bellow the seat, the air box has a restraining cover or, if removed it´s narrower than a YZ and you sould see 4 treathed holes to bolt the cover as well as some wiring for the taillights. i´m not sure if the 2001WR allready had an aluminium rear frame

Did the WR have electric start in '01 ?

I think the WR's where kick-start only until the 450's came out.
