Carrying a chainsaw to clear trails for an upcoming GP after our huge windstorm a couple weeks ago...This might be the one time that I would have preferred to have a quad. Between the bike, the saw, saw gas & oil, tools, snow, and me I think I was rolling about 550 lbs down the trail The trials tire was kick a$$ though?

Speaking of quads...guess how many downed trees I cut wide enough for a quad to get through?

Well it should help in ensuring he rides the tank and keeps his weight on the front tire..

I got a buddy in Western MT that made a pretty sweet bracket to hold his saw. It goes on the front off to the side and down the side of his fork. Its a helluva set up. I should see if he has a pic of it, if you are interested.

That's for sure...the dang thing kept trying to slide forward so if I stood for even a second it would slide under me. I had to stay sitting down like a goon?

I thought that is what snowmobiles were for....the snow is great to ride in if you can keep your hands warm....very cool / very cold...

I've had that same bike. It's definitely the wrong craft for that application. You probably wore out the decompression lever. And the tires couldn't have helped. Good work on the trail!
